Standardisation – Commitment to Safe and High-Quality Sports Facilities

Our mission at ISP GmbH – Institut für Sportstättenprüfung is to ensure the safety of sports facilities and playgrounds – and not just through our services as a testing laboratory. We also want to leverage our vast experience and expertise in standardisation work. For this reason, we are a member of numerous national and international standardisation committees, where we play an active role in the continuous improvement and modification of standards.

We are involved in the following standardisation committees:

National committees

DIN 18032-3 – Safety against ball throwing in sports halls

The DIN 18032-3 standard deals with the safety against ball throwing of installations in a sports hall. First and foremost, the standard delineates the test procedures for evaluating the safety against ball throwing of specific installations and the loads they must be able to withstand.

It delineates possible construction methods and stipulates the technical properties that a synthetic turf pitch or a synthetic turf system intended for sports grounds must fulfil. In addition, it describes the set-up and procedure of individual tests that are used to analyse these properties.

International standardisation committees
