Expertise and Quality at ISP GmbH

Expertise and quality – ISP GmbH as a certified testing laboratory

In addition to the wide range of services that we offer our customers, it is our considered policy as a testing laboratory to demonstrate and expand our expertise on a regular basis, as this forms the framework for all aspects of our current and future work. This includes our basic accreditation as a testing laboratory and our participation in round-robin tests to benchmark our work against others. Accreditation to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 forms the basis of our range of services, while round-robin tests are used to validate and optimise them.

We are also recognised by a number of sports associations, which allows us to test and certify sports facilities for individual sports and, in some cases, sports equipment. This enables us to provide our customers with an additional service beyond the classic tests in line with existing standards.
In addition, we would like to leverage our professional expertise and extensive experience to further strengthen the foundations of our testing work. For this reason, we are also very actively involved in standardisation work.

At ISP GmbH – Institut für Sportstättenprüfung, we consider this to be of the utmost importance. We are committed to achieving improvements that will benefit not only us, but also the wider professional community to which we belong.

Our aim is to continually develop our expertise and meet the demands placed on us. This is the foundation of our business activities and is therefore of paramount importance to us. Should you require further information regarding our accreditations, certifications and standardisation work, we invite you to peruse the subsections of this section, where you will find a more detailed account of our areas of expertise.

Ensuring Consistent Quality Through Round-Robin Testing

In accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025, ISP GmbH regularly participates in round-robin tests to compare our testing procedures, equipment, and performance with those of other laboratories. These interlaboratory comparisons involve analyzing identical test samples and evaluating the results against established quality parameters.

Consistent outcomes confirm our adherence to high standards, while discrepancies prompt a thorough review of our methods and equipment. This rigorous process is fundamental to delivering consistently high-quality services to our customers.

Recognition and Accreditation

Our laboratory is accredited by leading international sports associations, including World Athletics, FIBA, the International Fistball Association, and the World Curling Federation, ensuring our tests meet the highest industry standards. We are also recognized by RAL Quality Assurance Associations and DIN CERTCO Certification Schemes for verifying compliance with specific sports facility standards.

This dual accreditation highlights our commitment to delivering accurate, reliable, and certified testing services for sports hall flooring, synthetic surfaces, and turf systems. Trust ISP GmbH – Institute for Sports Facilities Testing to guarantee that your products and installations meet all necessary safety and quality requirements.

Ensuring Excellence with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025

Standardisation and Continuous Improvement

At ISP GmbH – Institute for Sports Facilities Testing, our mission extends beyond testing as we actively contribute to the development of national and international standards. We participate in national committees such as DIN 18032-2, DIN 18032-3, DIN 18032-7, DIN 18035-6, and DIN 18035-7, which set the requirements for sports hall flooring, ball throwing safety, impact protection for walls, synthetic surfaces, and synthetic turf systems.

Internationally, we are represented on CEN TC 217 and its subcommittees, shaping test methods, classifications, and environmental aspects for sports surfaces across Europe. This direct involvement in standardisation enables us to continuously optimise our services and offer our customers the best possible solutions.
