International Association for Sports and Leisure Facilities - IAKS Outdoor Seminar
International Association for Sports and Leisure Facilities (IAKS) is a non-profit association that deals with sports facilities, equipment and leisure facilities. Within this association, there are regional and national sections. The German section organises a wide range of further training opportunities on various topics. One of these is the specialist outdoor seminar, which focuses on the infrastructure of modern sports facilities, trend sports and exercise in public spaces. The seminar is held at changing places. ADS Annual Conference
The Association of German Sports Authorities (ADS) has existed since 1949 as a joint committee where municipal sports authorities can exchange information and undergo further professional training. Every year, the annual conference takes place over several days at changing locations. There are lectures, panel discussions and workshops on current topics on offer, as well as a small accompanying trade fair. The next event will be held in Düsseldorf from 2 to 4 April 2025. ESTC Congress
The European Synthetic Turf Council (ESTC) is a trade association for the synthetic turf industry in the European Economic Area (EMEA). Its aim is to strengthen cooperation, address current issues, promote and develop the industry's concerns and advocate the industry's interests. In addition, the association aims to connect members with end users, sports associations and legislators. Once a year, the association organises a conference, always at different locations. Sportplatzwelt LIVE
The trade journal ‘Stadionwelt’ has been reporting on the planning, construction, equipping and operation of professional sports and event venues for many years. For the municipal and popular sports sector, there is also the Sportplatzwelt (sports field world) portal. In addition to an online platform and online events, the latter has also been organising face-to-face events since 2023, which, in the form of an industry get-together, enable lectures and the exchange of ideas live on site. FSB trade fair
FSB in Cologne is the world's leading trade fair for sports, play and exercise in urban areas, and offers a wide range of products for open space and playground planning, sports halls, sports fields and stadiums, ice sports, outdoor fitness and much more. FSB's three thematic areas are open spaces, sports and sports facilities, as well as exercise infrastructure. The trade fair takes place every two years at Koelnmesse, the Cologne Exhibition Centre. Every two years, the Landessportbund Hessen (Hesse State Sports Federation) invites visitors to a two-day symposium with an accompanying sports facilities trade fair at the federation's sports and training centre in Frankfurt am Main. Visitors can attend lectures and presentations on the planning, equipping and maintaining sports facilities of all kinds in several parallel specialist forums. There is also a trade exhibition with around 70 exhibiting companies. The event is supposed to provide a diverse platform for the exchange of information, advice and dialogue.
